What about Bush's takeover of the banks? Do a little investigating and you'll find the same thing there. You see Steve, we are on the path of restoring the middle class in America, which is essential to our economy. The reason we can't be competitive with foreign automakers is that all the incoming tariffs were removed, but other countries still charge tariffs on our exports to them, and their lifestyles are far cheaper than ours. It doesn't take a $50K job to pay for a mud hut in S. Korea, so they work for a fraction of the price. We need to restore the tariffs before we allow morons to attack American workers. Our unions are the working people, and shouldn't have to make concessions, because Americans have been making concessions for the past 30 years due to Reaganomics. We have lost our pensions, constantly have to fight with health insurance companies over claims that they won't pay, can't keep up with the cost of living, as a whole we are overwhelmed with personal debt, all in the name of making it easy on the corporations that put a mailbox in the Cayman Islands to avoid paying taxes while they do business all around the world, firing thousands of wage earners when they want to see a boost in stock prices. Wake up Steve, you drank the Koolaid of the hijacked conservative movement and that big fat idiot Rush Limbaugh. Remember, an economy can only continue to exist when goods are created from raw materials and sold because value has been added to them. The Union was neither senior nor secured, but suffered little in the government take over and with the government itself becomes the largest shareholders.
